# COMPUTER VIRUS
Computer virus is a type of program which is harmful for you computer machine.Virus is a malicious code which slow down the computer activities and some time crashes the system.
Not only computer virus but also their are many malicious programs of different types :
TYPES OF MALICIOUS PROGRAM:
RANSOMWARE
Ransomware is a type of program,if it downloaded into computer PC/LAPTOP then it LOCK out complete computer data and ask for MONEY to get it back.Basically this program don't give the access to computer to computer owner before paying the RANSOM(MONEY) to attacker or hacker who made it.
After Ransomware attack computer display something look like this
WORMS
Computer Worms is a program which replicates files,folders,images,songs etc. basically data you stored into many duplicate forms.Its intention to full out computer memory so that processor of computer no longer able to work properly

TROJAN HORSE
Trojan Horse is a type of software/program created by the computer hacker to steal the private information from the computer or mobile device.This program send out the private information,photos,contact details,messages,passwords etc. from your device (PC/MOBILE) to the hacker.
Using this private information hacker can use that for illegal activities. Eg.Opening fake accounts,photo editing or even on porn sites.This program can be downloaded into computer by visiting malicious sites.downloading contents from TORRENT like sites.
SPYWARE
Spyware is a program is something similar to Trojan Horse.Spyware is set back into computer or mobile device and giving the time to time report to hacker that what the USER doing on to their devices.
So that hacker can able to keep watch on victim/user. Which leaks out users privacy.
ADWARE
Adware is a type of virus which gives the continues POP-UPS or Advertisement onto the display which is quite frustrated for the user.Adware basically coming from downloading unwanted software into the computer which continuously showing ads .

Rootkit is a type of program.If its install into the machine then it gives the administrative access to the hacker.S the hacker can able to do anything like installing software,change passwords and giving unauthorized access.Rootkit is talking with operating system at root/kernel level which suppose t give complete operating access to hacker.

How to secure from viruses????
Following are some tips to secure your computer system from viruses:
- Update and configure firewall which is normally inbuilt in operating system.Eg.Windows Firewall.
- Install good antivirus Eg. Mcafee,Avast,Quick heal etc.
- Try to avoid TORRENT downloads for downloading songs,movies etc.
- Avoid to visit malicious sites which having some attractive contents to download.
- Before open any small file first scan it by Antivirus or Online Antivirus Program.(https://www.virustotal.com)
- Time to time update operating system.
- Try to avoid files having extension ends with M . Eg. .POTM, .PPAM, .PPSM, .SLDM.
- Always download mobile application from trusted source e.g. Google App Store.
